Whip Hill
(2018 - )
Whip Hill is a small piece of conservation land bordering the town I live in, a former 30-acre estate gifted to the Town of Stoneham, MA, in 1968. Mostly dense forest land, it sees fairly few visitors. It has the sense of aloneness of some of the larger public areas in the Middlesex Fells Reservation, but feels more isolated because is has been cared for in a way that leaves it dense and lush. I return to it frequently to find new relationships between the trees and plants and water.
